Newsletter conditions

1. Content and frequency

By subscribing to our newsletter we will regularly (usually monthly, but no more frequently than weekly) inform you by e-mail about campervan rentals, camping, travel tips and service information as well as selected partner offers, competitions, exclusive discount campaigns and everything you need to know about holidays from CamperDays and selected partners.
Our newsletter may include an invitation to participate in a satisfaction survey. This can be an online survey or a personal survey. Participation is of course voluntary and is based on your informed consent, which you can revoke. The evaluation of the survey results is only carried out in an anonymised form, no conclusions can be drawn about your person. The data you provide us with in the survey form will only be processed by us to the extent necessary to fulfill the conditions of participation.
In order to avoid any confusion during registration, we carry out a double opt-in procedure. After entering your e-mail address on our website, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link to the e-mail address provided. Only when you click on this link are you registered for the newsletter.

Registration for the newsletter does not constitute a legal claim to receive a newsletter. We reserve the right to stop sending the newsletter without prior notice.

2. Cancellation

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can either unsubscribe using the corresponding link at the end of each newsletter. You are also welcome to contact us in this regard by telephone or e-mail (newsletter@camperdays.com).

Important: Please do not use the SPAM button on your e-mail system if you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, as this will also mean that the correct delivery of other CamperDays e-mails (e.g. the sending of booking documents) can no longer be guaranteed.

3. Data protection

3.1 Collection, processing and use of personal data

We collect and use data to a limited extent with the aim of providing you with the best possible booking and service experience. In doing so, we handle your data responsibly.

We store the following personal data: your e-mail address, which you provide during registration. In addition, we save the IP address that you used when you registered. The IP address is stored to prevent misuse and is deleted after clicking the confirmation link.

The collection and storage of your e-mail address is based on the justification for processing the data after registration for the newsletter in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 S. 1 lit. a of the German Data Protection Act.

In order to be able to make your e-mails more useful or interesting, we receive information about which CamperDays e-mails you open and which links you have clicked on, provided your computer supports this function. In addition, the data and usage data you provide us with about the website help us to present you with personalized advertising and/or special offers and services. For this purpose, we use cookies and tracking pixels on our digital offers and in our newsletter.

We use the „Facebook Custom Audience“ function for newsletter customers in order to be able to carry out more targeted advertising. In doing so, customers are addressed specifically when they call up pages on Facebook, Instagram and in the audience network. You can find more information on how Custom Audience works here.

3.2 Transfer of your data to third parties

We do not pass on your data commercially (sale, rental) to third parties and do not engage in address trading. Insofar as it is necessary for the promotion of our own range of products and services, we will transfer your data to our partner companies within the EU, which will support us in the creation and dispatch of our advertising material. In these cases, however, the scope of the data transmitted is limited to the required minimum. Our partners have been carefully selected by us and are obligated to us in accordance with the statutory provisions to handle your data in confidence and to observe our own data protection standards. In particular, our partners are not permitted to pass on our customers‘ data to third parties for advertising purposes.

3.3 Objection to the use of your data

Please write to CamperDays GmbH, for the attention of the Data Protection Officer, Holzmarkt 2a, 50676 Cologne, Germany, or by e-mail to datenschutz@camperdays.de. You will not incur any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic tariff.

3.4 Right of appeal to the supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. You can contact the data protection authority responsible for your place of residence or or the data protection authority responsible for us. This is:

Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen
Kavalleriestr. 2-4

4. Responsible authority

5. Links to websites of other providers

Our newsletter may contain links to websites of other providers to which this newsletter condition does not apply. Insofar as the use of the websites of other providers involves the collection, processing or use of personal data, please note the data protection information of the respective providers.

6. Final provisions

German law applies exclusively. If the newsletter recipient has no general place of jurisdiction in Germany, the place of jurisdiction is Cologne, Federal Republic of Germany. In addition, a participant may also take legal action at his or her general place of jurisdiction or at any other place where statutory jurisdiction exists.

We are entitled to unilaterally change the conditions for the newsletter dispatch, as far as this is necessary for the adaptation to changed legal or technical basic conditions and the recipient is not disadvantaged thereby against good faith. However, the right to adapt only concerns the frequency of sending and the use of techniques for more targeted communication with the recipient, which are subject to constant technical development. We will inform the customer of any changes by sending notice regarding the content of the changed regulations to the e-mail address used for sending the newsletter. The change will become part of the contract if the customer does not object to our inclusion in the contractual relationship in text form within six weeks of receipt of the notification of change. If the customer objects, we reserve the right to no longer send the customer a newsletter.

If you object to the further use of your data or wish to have your data changed or deleted, please inform us and our data protection officer Mr. Maximilian Hartung in writing by mail or electronically.
