Maui is highly recommended. New vehicles, fully equipped and beds in which you can sleep very well. Toilet top, kitchen ok. And a little more comfort can't hurt, especially on longer trips, longer holidays...

A lot of money for not even average performance: We had to return the first car after 5 minutes because the lane was out of alignment and the car kept pulling hard to the left. After we had to explain that we had NOT driven into/across something and spent a total of 3 hours at the station, we were finally able to drive off with a new trolley. In the second one, the drawers didn't hold due to a lack of screws, the fan heater was faulty and the water pump was extremely loud, which kept making itself heard at night and waking us up. Unfortunately, we only realised this in the evening after a few hours of driving, so we had to make do without a fan heater until Queenstown. The drawers were 'repaired' in Queenstown, which lasted exactly two turns, and we had to live with the water pump until the end. After we found the previous tenant's report in the car, we knew that these problems had already been reported but not fixed. This has a flavour.

If we were to travel to New Zealand a second time, thl would definitely be the last company we would rent a motorhome from. The vehicle was in a desolate condition, both technically and visually, so we wondered whether it had even been checked before handover. The battery was broken, the drain was blocked, the city newspaper didn't work, the water tank was leaking and it smelled of rotten eggs. This is how customers are sent on a journey for 6 1/2 weeks and at a price that is quite something.
