The handover when we collected the camper went smoothly and very quickly. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, it became clear that the interior of the camper wasn’t actually clean or had been cleaned; at best, it had simply been swept over. We had to wipe down all the surfaces and the floor again with a damp cloth to ensure the interior was clean. The level sensor for the waste water tank was faulty, so we had to dispose of the waste water by feel. Overall, the vehicle looked rather past its best; the cupboards had numerous nicks and dents, and the vehicle gave the impression of being very worn out. The cookware didn’t deserve to be called that either. The spatulas and ladles were burnt and continued to melt when used. The knives were blunt and, to top it all off, there were two tea towels that didn’t absorb any water at all and were unusable.

I really enjoyed the three weeks. The C25 offers excellent comfort for up to two people, even if you don’t want to share the bed. Getting into the alcove might be difficult for very tall people or those who aren’t quite as mobile as they used to be. The table is definitely too small for four adults, and it gets a bit cramped even with older children. The motorhome is very noisy, particularly when going uphill or when using the engine brake. I would have preferred fitted sheets, as the thin sheets – no matter how far you tuck them under the mattress – slip out of place somewhere every night. Unfortunately, the tea towels don’t live up to their name; as well as being damp, they leave behind plenty of fluff. There are no tea towels or sponges either. A broom is provided for cleaning. In my motorhome, which is still very new, there was a permanent filter for a single cup. A ‘press-down jug’ would be useful here. I enjoyed using the camping chair; some campsites didn’t have picnic areas, whilst at others it was left out in the blazing sun.
