Good vehicle fleet, mostly recent models, honest dealings with customers, friendly and very helpful staff. Poor cleanliness upon handover. Fridge completely frozen over, toilet/shower found to have an extreme urine smell. Seating area and cushions sandy. Compared to other rental companies, however, more professional handover/return and during the rental period.

On the first day, a hinge broke off, the stove ignition didn't work and it took four days for the hot water system to start working. In addition, the pull-out step on the side door was missing from the outset. No feedback/help from OnRoad Assist. We can be glad that we didn't have any major problems. Overall, very disappointing for the price.

On collection, the vehicle had many unrepaired defects. On the first left-hand bend, the drawer fell out despite the safety catch being active. When it rained, it dripped onto the back of our sleeping bags and mattress. They were then soaked through. There were also traces of mould. The camper was from 2021, so just 3 years old. But if damage is only "reported" and not repaired, you shouldn't be surprised. A bulb in the rear was also defective according to the display and was replaced on request. The upper cabinets rattle while driving (wood on aluminium strip). This can then be laboriously repaired with Zewa paper. Noise protection is strongly recommended for passengers on the cheap seats. The cushions / mattresses are far too soft and uncomfortable in the long term, as they are only 10 cm ****. Only the cockpit is heated during the journey. The camper is approved for a maximum of 6 people - those who have to sit in the back will be uncomfortable and cold. The overall quality of the bodywork is not good due to the design. The Sprinter (Mercedes), on the other hand, has the usual comfort. Only the touchscreen functions for the radio are impractical. Caping chairs are simple and uncomfortable to sit on - we could have saved ourselves that - we preferred to sit outside on the existing benches with table. We were credited 2 days rental fee for the complaints.

We had to go back to the station twice – the door was broken (couldn’t be locked), the skylight was leaking (constantly), the battery was flat and broken, and the vehicle was dirty and smelly (disgusting)

The pick-up in Hobart was a fiasco, far too few staff, long waiting times, the camper not prepared and cleaned, gas, AdBlue not topped up, a much larger vehicle than reserved... not like that! The vehicle was fine, but unfortunately had various defects and had to be repaired improvised by ourselves. So actually a completely inadequate service for the price. The return in Melbourne was top, professional, competent and quick. But we didn't want the trip to be spoilt and tried to ignore all the negative aspects.

Excellent service and camper was immaculate
